BV blog hop FINAL

Welcome to Stampin’ Addicts 2009 Bon Voyage Blog Hop, where we bid a fond farewell to 34 of the stamp sets on Stampin’ Up’s Last Chance List. This is Port of Call #1, featuring In Everything Give Thanks, currently on the dormant list. You may have just arrived from Port of Call #34 – Stamp A Little Longer, or this may be your first stop. Either way, all the links will take you in a circle, and you’ll end up back where you began.

One announcement before disembarking: the tour links are only active through 11:59 pm Tuesday, June 16; after that, many hostesses will post more details on projects you see today. Bookmark your favorite stops now–on return visits, you’ll bypass customs & immigration and go straight to the fun.

I have several wonderful Thanksgiving related projects to show you. Yes, I know that it is June, but this set won’t be available in November, and then you’ll be really sad that you don’t have this Pilgrim, turkey, or cornucopia to make all of your great Thanksgiving projects! Many of these use Tangerine Tango, a fabulous fall color that also will not be available after June 30th.

What could be cuter on your Thanksgiving table than these place cards? (You can click on the pictures to see them larger.)

Here is the final card that we will be making at my Workshop on January 31 in Ashby. (In the area? Email me for details!) It is not a traditional Valentine, in fact it is not really Valentine at all. It could be used as a Valentine, but it could be used for a wide variety of other occasions as well. This card uses the Fresh-Cut Notes and the coordinating Fresh Cuts stamp set. These note cards come already die cut. They are 4″x4″ and coming with matching envelopes. They are too small to be mailed (USPS won’t accept them), but you could always just put them in a regular envelope. Then they go through the mail just fine!

Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Fresh-Cuts note card, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Gold brad

I used the 5 Petal Flower punch to punch out the flower in Baja Breeze. It fits behind the white flower that is part of the card. There is a square of Chocolate Chip card stock that is then glued behind that, showing through the rest of the opening. Quick, easy, & elegant! My favorite kind of card!
