Wow! What could be better than great colours from ColourQ this week? Why, a fabulous Scrapbook Sketch from Stampin’ Addicts to go along with it!

Since my husband couldn’t go along to one of my friend’s wedding’s this summer, I took Eve as my date. (I asked if it was okay first, of course!) And how much more fun that Amy ended up being Eve’s third grade teacher this year!

As I was looking through my different pictures, I realized that my parents’ tablecloth reminded me of the the skirt in this challenge!

Another great set of colors from ColourQ this week! And for extra fun, I decided to combine them with the Saturday Scrapbook sketch challenge from Stampin’ Addicts.

I realized that most of the colors could be found in the Sweet Pea digital kit. (The actual paper retired a couple years ago, but the digital version is still available!) By using different patterns from the same pack of paper, I knew that the whole page would come together easily and coordinate well.

I have to say, I was a little intimidated by the sketch when I first saw it. But using the Half Circle Punch and the Flag punch really helped it come together easily.

(Oops! I just realized that the digital paper I used is Rose Red instead of Melon Mambo! I think that it is still close enough for the correct feel of the color challenge. Sorry about that!)

What a fun color challenge from ColourQ this week! It’s black, white, and one other color of your choice!

I used a picture from last New Year’s Eve, and chose Melon Mambo as my third color. My title is a play on words, since my daughter’s name is Eve. It was New Year’s Eve, and she IS New Year’s Eve!! Yes, I love bad word plays. They make me chuckle.

The background paper is from the digital version of the Night & Day Designer Series Paper. Many retired papers are still available digitally. This one is gorgeous for black and white.

(Oh, and that’s sparkling apple juice in her glass, just in case you were wondering…)

Do you remember those Hink Pinks, where the answer has to be two words that rhyme? Like, what is a silly rabbit — a Funny Bunny! So here’s one for today: What do you call Sabba & Savta with their favorite grandson? A Leo Trio! And I had just the perfect picture of that for today’s ColourQ challenge:

I know that many, if not most, of my other design team members are creating Christmas cards with these colors, but I just don’t have that many Christmas photos. (No real surprise there!) But when I saw this picture, with my mom in a Regal Rose sweater, Leo in a Glorious Green striped shirt, sitting in a Real Red wagon, I knew it would be just perfect!

That fabulous patterned paper is from the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper. It is available both real and digital, and wonderful to use either way!
