The thing I miss most, living here in Southern California, is the Fall Colors. I love the beauty of the trees in the fall! Even though most of the colors are passed their peak else where, I can still create beautiful Fall colors on my cards. This is the third card that I will be making with my faculty group this month. It is quick and easy, though the Top Note Die Cut gives it a sense of elegance.

Hello and welcome to Stop #22 on Stampin’ Addicts Holiday Mini Catalog Blog Hop! Whether this is your last stop or your first, I hope you are enjoying the hop. I am lucky enough to feature the Build-a-Bear Big Shot Dies! Not only does Stampin’ Up have a fabulous partnership with Sizzix, producing exclusive dies for the Big Shot, but they have recently partnered with Build-a-Bear Workshop as well! Putting these three companies together has produced amazing results.
The first thing that I thought of when I saw the Stampin’ Up Bear Bigz Die, was how fun it would be to make felt bears and clothes for my daughter to play with! Since the Bigz Dies can cut over 50 different types of materials, I knew felt would be no problem. The surprising part was that I was even able to cut felt with the Sizzlets. I cut out two bears and a bunch of clothes and let Eve go to town. Here is what she came up with:

Supplies: Stampin’ Up Bear Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Essentials Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Boy Sizzlet, Stampin’ Up Beary Girl Sizzlet, Assorted Felt
Of course, these super cute bears can be cut out of paper and used on cards or as fabulous scrapbook page embellishments. There is a great new pack of Designer Series Paper in the Mini catalog, Pawsitively Prints, that is fabulous for bear clothes among other things. I made two quick and easy cards. Now I need to print off all my pictures of Eve at Build-a-Bear Workshop and scrapbook them with these cuties.

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Basic Black, Real Red, Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin’ Up Bear Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Essentials Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Girl Sizzlet
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin’ Up Bear Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Essentials Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Boy Sizzlet
The final project I have to show you for this hop is a super cute Halloween project. Since the Bigz Dies are able to cut through several layers of cardstock, I folded a piece to cut out each of these bears. the fold is hidden under the hats, and allows the bears to stand up by themselves and to be opened as shaped cards. These can be super cute invitations for a Halloween Party, or to hold Halloween treats inside or in their paws.
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stampin’ Up Bear Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Beary Essentials Bigz Die, Stampin’ Up Kooky Spooky Original Die

When I saw this week’s Mojo Monday sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with that big circle — use my scallop circle die to make it into a big flower!
I really like the summery bright yellow of the new Crushed Curry, so I used again for this week’s Mojo Monday, even though I used the same paper last week. This time I paired it with Chocolate Chip, which makes the color “pop” more than it did with the Soft Suede. To make the flower, I die cut the bigger scallop from the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die. Then I glued on a 1 3/4″ Chocolate Chip circle. I cut in between each of the scallops, not quite to the circle. Then I fluffed up the “petals” with my fingers to make it look like a flower. I’m really pleased with how it came out!

Here is the final card that we will be making at my Workshop on January 31 in Ashby. (In the area? Email me for details!) It is not a traditional Valentine, in fact it is not really Valentine at all. It could be used as a Valentine, but it could be used for a wide variety of other occasions as well. This card uses the Fresh-Cut Notes and the coordinating Fresh Cuts stamp set. These note cards come already die cut. They are 4″x4″ and coming with matching envelopes. They are too small to be mailed (USPS won’t accept them), but you could always just put them in a regular envelope. Then they go through the mail just fine!

Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Fresh-Cuts note card, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Gold brad
I used the 5 Petal Flower punch to punch out the flower in Baja Breeze. It fits behind the white flower that is part of the card. There is a square of Chocolate Chip card stock that is then glued behind that, showing through the rest of the opening. Quick, easy, & elegant! My favorite kind of card!
