Here’s a quick and easy card, thanks to the Big Shot! With the embossed white card stock, it is simple and elegant. It looks better in real life, but if you click on it to enlarge the photo you can get a better view. I really love the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive together.

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White
Other: Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Big Shot
There are some days that I just don’t know how I managed without my Big Shot!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Addicts Birthday Blog Hop! Can you believe this fabulous stamping community is one year old this weekend? As part of the celebration, we will be featuring a wide variety of birthday themed projects.
You may have come from Trina’s blog and her fabulous birthday gift ensemble (love those charms!) or you may be starting here. Either way the hop goes in a circle and you can start in either direction!
My daughter Eve is in first grade, and believe it or not she has THREE birthday celebrations this weekend to attend. Because of this, my projects are birthday cards for young girls — preschool to second grade. Interestingly, when I finished them I realized that every single one uses the color Melon Mambo! It’s such a great, festive, young girl birthday color!
This first card is my favorite! It is an easel card and uses Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it so fun and sparkly! I’m not sure if you can tell, but they are covering the mane, wings, and tail.

Stamps: Pony Party
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal
Paper: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal, Whisper White
Other: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Modern Label Punch, Movers & Shapers Punch Windows Die, Big Shot, Stampin’ Dimensionals
My second card is my husband’s favorite of the bunch. The great shape at the top is made by running the Top Note Die through the Big Shot once, then turning your paper 90 degrees and running it through again. The dress on the paper is paper pieced.

Stamps: Beary Best Friends, Beary Nice Wishes
Ink: StazOn Black, Melon Mambo
Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad
Other: Water Color Wonder Crayons, Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Top Note Bigz Die, Big Shot
My final card for today works not only for a young girl, but one of any age, because really, who doesn’t like cupcakes?

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand, Old Olive
Paper: Kraft, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad
Other: Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon
Thanks so much for joining us on the Birthday Blog Hop today! Your next stop is Mary’s blog, where she is featuring super cute birthday favors for both boys and girls.

How fun and bright is this birthday card? It is another card from the set Steve took with him as a gift. I love how cheerful these colors are. And yes, it uses the In Color Stampin’ Write markers again.

This week’s challenge over at Pals Paper Arts is a theme challenge, with the theme being Gratitude and Thanks. As I was looking through my stamp sets trying to decide what to do with this theme, I realized that I hadn’t used Cheep Talk in quite a while. And since the weather has finally turned fall-like (here in Los Angeles that mean the low 70s…), I decided to use Cheep Talk with a fall color combo. I’m very happy with the way it came out!
Stamps: Cheep Talk
Ink: Stampin’ Write Markers in Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango
Paper: Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry Designer Prints Series Paper
Other: Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig
I just have to say again how happy I am that the Stampin’ Write Markers are available in the In Colors this year!

Now that Eve is in kindergarten, and able to read and write (a little) on her own, I thought it would be a good year for her to start writing her own thank you notes. But to make it easier I used the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp. It is an adorable cupcake, with a few blanks to fill in. Eve wanted it in Tinker Bell colors to match the party theme. I think they came out super cute, and she was able to fill them out in no time!
Stamps: Simple Birthday Thanks
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Real Red, Whisper White
They are single sheet note cards that don’t open.

A little birdie told me… it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch! It was a gray, dreary, rainy day today and I really needed some bright colors! So I reached for my Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper, and headed over to today’s sketch:
I chose to use the set A little Birdie Told Me since it has three componants that would fit nicely in the three blank spaces. Plus I’m really enjoying the birds singing in the morning. I used Old Olive brads from the Rich Regal pack — they match the Kiwi Kiss very closely. Here is what I came up with:
Stamps: A Little Birdie Told Me
Ink: StazOn Black, Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Rich Regal Brads, 1″ Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch

Happy Birthday to my Eve! I can’t believe she’s already six! Time sure flies… I wanted to make her a very special birthday card, one that had all of her favorites — red and pink and cupcakes and flowers and glitter and more! Below is what I came up with. It may look a little mature for a six-year-old, but it has all of her favorites on it. The best part was that she could even read it herself!
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: StazOn Black, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red
Paper: Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart
Accessories: Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Two Way Glue Pen, Top Note Bigz Die, Big Shot
Biscuit made her a birthday card too! (He’s quite the stamper, you know.) This is a 3″x3″ card.
Stamps: Man’s Best Friend, Party Hearty, Family Phrases
Ink: So Saffron, Real Red, Basic Black
Paper: Real Red, So Saffron, Whisper White

I love the colors in the new Raspberry Tart paper. I think they are just yummy — so rich and vibrant! When I saw these cards by Christine Okken, I knew I had to make one of my own. The scalloped circle is a Bigz Die. I cut the circle on my Coluzzle, but I just got my new Circle Scissors plus, so I’ll be looking forward to cutting some circles with that!

Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral, Rose Red
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral, Rose Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Scallops #2 Bigz Die, Coluzzle, Brads, Horizontal Slot Punch
Isn’t it just delicious?

Tina, a neighboring demonstrator, was kind enough to invite me over to play with some of her new catalog goodies. One of the great new products that she got was the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. Since it is a Bigz die, it can be used to cut out more than 50 different materials. I just used it on cardstock this time.It looks fantastic with the Flight of the Butterflies set!
