There is a My Digital Studio tab to the top right hand corner of this blog. There is also a new Resources pageon MyDigitalStudio.net that includes an MDS Catalog. It shows all of the MDS software artwork (contained in the boxed-version) and downloads from the October 2009 launch through April 2011! The catalog gives a snapshot of the entire product line with artwork thumbnails followed by product details, which includes the colors of the designer papers! Because MDS is regularly coming out with new artwork, the catalog will be updated every month.

As I was looking through pictures, I realized that they were perfect with the photos from going to the circus with my in-laws last summer. I really like how Soft Suede fits so well with these brights, too.

It’s almost the end of May, which means that the 30% off selected My Digital Studio print products is almost over! I finished my daughter’s First Grade scrapbook, ordered some 12×12 individual pages that I had finished, and now I just need to finish the scrapbook I am making for my mom of her trip out here to Los Angeles last month. It covers both Passover and the premiere of my brother’s movie Prom. I wanted to share one of the double page spreads with you. It is very simple, but I really like how it came out! (Click on it for a closer look.)

This is from First Seder, and the words on the first page are part of the lyrics from Miriam’s Song by Debbie Friedman. I wanted to focus on the pictures, so I used a subtle background. I used Alesha Walls great technique to look like embossing. I used the Music Notes Digital Stamp Brush, set the color to Melon Mambo the same as the background, then added a drop shadow at 75%. An easy way for a great effect! To have the two pages match, I created the first one, then selected “Insert Duplicate Page.” That way I can be sure the backgrounds match! Okay, back to work on the album! Hope you are having a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Eve had her birthday sleepover last weekend, and I figured instead of just giving the girls party favors, I would have them make them! We ended up making them Sunday morning after they woke up, which was great, because they woke up earlier than I had expected and it was a great way to fill an hour! First they made these jumbo paper clip book marks:

They really enjoyed making these, and it was a fun way to end the sleepover.

For our school’s benefit each year, the teachers are asked to donate an “outing” of some kind, which is then raffled off to the students. This year I donated a card making party, which we had last Friday. At the party were two third grade girls and two fourth grade girls. I remembered the Nugget purses that I had made for Valentine’s Day, and thought these would be super fun for the girls to make as one of their projects. The girl who won said that her favorite colors were blue and green, so I based the design off of that. Each one holds one Hershey nugget.

A little less than three weeks left of school here, and let me tell you, the kids are ready to be done! Luckily ColourQ has some great summery colors. I combined them with the Stamping 411 sketch to make a card that just screams summer. (Truthfully, I kinda feel like screaming summer right now too.)

For the focal point I decided to use the  big flower from Flower Fancy. I have a feeling that this may be on the retiring list when it is released next week. No inside information here, just a gut feeling. It’s a great two-step stamp set that makes gorgeous floral cards, so keep an out to see if it makes the cut or not. The list of retiring stamp sets will be out on Wednesday, June 1st.
