Happy Halloween!! I am so sorry for not posting more recently — we finally moved into our new house yesterday. What a lot of craziness that is!! I’m hoping to get back to my regular posting schedule. Actually, November is National Blog Posting Month, so I’m hoping to have a new post every day for you!

I’m pretty sure that this is the 4th year in a row that I have made a Halloween spinner card with the Batty For You set. I just can’t seem to pass up the opportunity! I made this with the kids on Thursday. They loved it!

Stamps: Batty for You, All Holidays
Ink: Peach Parfait
Paper: Peach Parfait, Basic Black, Whisper White, In Color Designer Series Paper Pack (Peach Parfait)
Other: Word Window Punch, Designer Label Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pennies

Hope you have a happy & safe Halloween!

I saw a few variations of this super cute card over at SplitCoast Stampers. It brilliantly turns the elegant Baroque Motifs into a fun vine for the monkeys. Since my Fox & Friends set is the clear mount version, it was super easy to place the little monkey exactly where I wanted him to go! We’ll be making this card at my after-school stamping class this week.

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Fox & Friends, Kind Thanks
Ink: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

The kids really like using the clear mount stamps.

We were very fortunate to have children’s author Ben Mikaelsen visit school last week. He gave an amazing and powerful presentation. If you ever have a chance to hear him speak, or to have him come to your school, I highly recommend it! One of the things he spoke about was his daily life with Buffy, a black bear whom he had saved from medical experimentation and raised from a little cub. Buffy was the inspiration for this card, which I’ll be making with the kids class this week.

Stamps: Under the Stars
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze
Paper: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Series Paper
Other: Aqua Painter

Sorry for the lack of consistent blog posts lately. Things have been a little hectic on the home front! I hope to getting back to regular posts soon, and I’ll be participating in National Blog Posting Month for November, so that should help as well!

A few days ago I showed you the pumpkin milk carton that I made, and told you that Eve made a cute milk carton as well. Here is the one she made. (Ignore the dent in the side — Jack the Great Dane stepped on it before I got the picture taken!)

Stamps: Got Treats
Ink:
Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Paper:
Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Other:
Milk Carton Bigz L Die, Big Shot

How cute is this? Didn’t she do a great job?

A few days ago I showed you the pumpkin milk carton that I decided NOT to make with my after school class. Today I will show you what we are in fact making this afternoon. It’s a whole Got Treats 3″x3″ note card set! The kids will get to use both the Clear-Mount stamps and the markers to color different parts.

Stamps: Got Treats
Ink: Soft Suede, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Pretty in Pink, Pacific Point
Paper: Soft Suede, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Pretty in Pink, Pacific Point, Whisper White

As I was trying to come up with projects for my after-school kids’ class, I thought it would be super fun to make a “Got Treats” milk carton. It also is a perfect match for this week’s Stampin’ Celebration Inspiration Challenge.

Well, I’m really glad I tried it ahead of time, because though it was fun, and came out super cute, it is definitely not something I would want to try with a bunch of eight-year-olds. Because I would end up putting together all of the milk cartons. I love the Got TReats set, not just for the cute images, but for all of the little stamps with directions to make it look like a real milk carton.

Stamps: Got Treats
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, Basic Black
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Milk Carton Bigz L Die, Big Shot

Eve made a cute “Got Birthday” milk carton, which I’ll show you later this week. I came up with a different project for the kids using the Got Treats set. Keep an eye out for that as well.

We had a really fun afternoon yesterday at the after-school card making class! One of the projects the kids could make was to die cut a Build-a-Bear and they could dress it.  I had a lot of clothes left over from my summer school card making class, plus I added some pumpkins and witches. They LOVED putting these together! They made a little fashion show at the end so I could take some pictures. There were three color choices for bears — Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake.

Created by 2nd, 3rd, & 4th graders — Eve, Lyla, Laura, Giana, Jade, Sydney, Rosie, Esther, Avi, Reggie, Madeleine, & Carly.

Dies used: Bear Bigz Die, Beary Dressy Die, Beary Essentials Die, Kooky Spooky Die

The reason that some of the bears’ heads look a little flat on top is that these are cards that open, and the top of the head is the fold.
