The Pals Paper Arts challenge this week was to Keep It Simple, Sweetie or K.I.S.S. (a much nicer version than what I have heard before!) Their suggested guidelines were:

  • Clean with lots of ‘white’ space
  • Simple Designs
  • Minimum time to create
  • Limited layers and embellishments

In general my cards are fairly clean and simple, so this wasn’t too much of a stretch. Finding the time to actually do it was a whole ‘nother story! But we only have time for that which we make time for! So I made the time. (Who really needs to sleep, anyway?) Here is my K.I.S.S. card. It uses one of my all time favorite sets that I haven’t used in a really long time! I took the colors from the beautiful Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper.

Simple

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Fresh Cuts
Ink: Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

I thought about adding some brads, or ribbon, or maybe some dazzling diamonds, but I decided that I was going to keep it as simple as possible. After I decided on the design, this card only took about 15 minutes to make. Simple, yet elegant.
